Tom Rademacher, long-time columnist for The Grand Rapids (Mich.) Press, has launched a first book of columns, entitled “Splitting Wood.” The first printing sold out in less than three weeks, and Rademacher “blames” his good fortune in part on Dave Lieber, whose upbeat presentation at last year’s NSNC convention in Ventura, Calif., was alone worth the price of admission.
Rademacher, who snagged first place in last year’s General Interest category for the largest newspapers nationwide, worked at The Press for nearly 31 years before taking an early out in July 2009, but he continues to write weekly for the Michigan paper.
He and his wife Hollie plan to attend the Bloomington bash – er, conference — and he encourages anyone walking the tightrope to make their reservation today!
Splitting Wood features nearly 100 pieces from Rademacher’s 21 years as a columnist , and is available through Barnes & Nobles stores. He also will sell them at a discount during the July NSNC session in Bloomington.
