Ed Grisamore of the Macon (GA) Telegraph is featured in a new cookbook being sold to support programs of the Rebuilding Macon organization. Some of Macon’s most gifted chefs and cooks have generously contributed their recipes for this beautiful, full-color cookbook.
In the foreword for “Let’s Get Cooking”, written by Grisamore, readers can learn how the columnist managed to combine both cooking and power tools. The book contains his recipe for “True Gris Stew.”
The cookbook sells for $25 and proceeds will go to help build wheelchair ramps, replace roofs and paint homes in Macon and surrounding areas. Rebuilding Macon focuses on the concerns of the elderly and disabled low income homeowners, those without the most basic of necessities, a warm, safe, and dry home.
Grisamore is the most recent winner of NSNC’s Will Rogers Humanitarian Award and will chair the 2012 Conference to be held in Macon.
