Mary C. Curtis, columnist for AOL’s PoliticsDaily.com and member of the NSNC Board of Directors has been chosen for a 2011 Kiplinger Fellowship in Public Affairs Journalism at the Ohio State University.
The Kiplinger Foundation awards short-term fellowships designed to help writers make better use of new online tools and channels. Winners will go to Ohio State and learn how to use social media to build a following, develop sources and update skills. The digital media training will be hands-on and highly relevant to today’s social media outlets.
Curtis is a former editor and writer for the New York Times, Baltimore Sun and Associated Press. She also is a regular contributor to National Public Radio and is a weekly commentator on Fox News Rising morning show in Charlotte, NC. Her other reporting and commentary venues include CNN, MSNBC and the Washington Post.
