Tom Rademacher, Grand Rapids Press, has a new book called “Knocking at Your Door,” a book of columns published by Lake Michigan Books. Rademacher is a prize-winning columnist who received First Place for two straight years in the General Interest Category of the annual NSNC Writing Contest, as well as scoring wins in other years. This is Tom’s second book, following his first successful column collection, “Splitting Wood.”
Rademacher, long-times columnist told the Grand Rapids Press, “People will be surprised to read of subjects I wrote about 10 and even 20 years ago…” His columns have included human interest topics as well as political commentary. Some of the topics he covered left made lasting impressions on Rademacher.
Tom work at the The Press for nearly 31 years before taking an early buyout in 2009, but he continues to write a weekly column for the Michigan paper and has been a role-model for other columnists.
Rademacher will be doing a tour of locations in Grand Rapids this month to promote his book and sign copies for his readers. The book will be available at Barnes and Nobel on January 1.
