Walt Brasch
Longtime NSNC member Walt Brasch has received the Lifetime Communicator of Achievement award from the Pennsylvania Press Club, reported a newspaper that runs his column.
The News Eagle said Walt received the honor June 3 in Gettysburg at the club’s annual dinner.
The lifetime is the state press club’s highest award, recognizing both significant journalistic achievement and community service, the newspaper said. The last time it was awarded was in 2005.
Walt is a former reporter and editor at magazines and newspapers. He also is a retired professor of mass communications (earning a doctorate at Ohio University). Walt was a speaker at the 2007 NSNC conference, in Philadelphia. His website is www.walterbrasch.com and blogs at Wanderings.
