We are you.
Hold on a minute. That sounded a little too I’ve-been-eating-special-brownies-in-Denver Zen. Let me explain.
Our members create the National Society of Newspaper Columnists. Every volunteer on the board, all contributors, each due-paying supporter is this organization. Our existence would cease without your backing. You make us great.
Now we, as a group, want to return the favor.
But we need your help. Tell us, what can we do to assist you more in your professional lives? Would monthly webinars and discussions motivate you? Or does a NSNC speakers bureau seem like a program you’d like to join? How about your best column being featured in an NSNC anthology? Mentoring by a veteran writer might also be right up your alley.
Let us know your thoughts and ideas. Remember: the NSNC remains here for you.
Likewise, if you could recommend us to your coworkers and friends, we’d be appreciative. Your positive voice reaches so far in this noisy world. Please consider using it to help our cause and increase our membership.
And speaking of new additions, we welcome our newest member Roger Colton. An attorney and economist, Roger authors Community Conversations, a column in his community newspaper the Belmont Citizen-Herald in Massachusetts. The Boston Red Sox fan is also a partner in the firm Fisher, Sheehan & Colton, Public Finance and General Economics (FSC) of Belmont. Check out his website Community Conversations — Belmont MA.
If you’ve joined our organization since June, please forward your bio, photo and website to me, Membership Chair Amanda Beam, via this Contact Form so we may officially celebrate you joining the NSNC.
So enlighten us. Help us make this organization even better. We are you. It doesn’t take special brownies to understand that.
